Why I Was Drawn To Journalsim

a long time ago, i heard about a man but i didnt know anything about him, so i looked him up. that man was Hunter S. Thompson.

He was quite a troubled man but one of the best authors of anything i have ever read or had the pleasure of my ocular faculties, the words made me laugh, smile and be all like "DUDE! this guy actually knows his biscuits!"

I was lucky enough to see the documentary about Hunter, i had no idea half the things that were on it would be on it.

Too many people assume that Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was his seminal peice, although the movie was good, i have a distinct feeling the words will have a more profound effect on me.

I want to be as good as him, write how he wrote, see what he seen, but not in a drug fueled haze, without the guns and tragic suicide. Hunter will always inspire me to keep going. The cynics can bite the fattest part of my butt!
